I wanted to take pictures of something outside today but it is quite chilly. So I decided to take a picture of a rose that was getting ready to be planted outside. I used my 50mm macro at 1/80 sec f4.5 iso 400 The flower is next to a window and I had it back lit by the sun. I liked how the light shined through the pedals on the rose.

Today I was messing around with some macro photography. The only problem is that I have a 50mm macro, which means I cannot magnify this close with it. So my solution is to get a ring adapter (52mm) so I can mount 2 lenses front glass to front glass. I used my 100-300mm and my 50mm f/1.4. I mounted the longer lens to my camera, then I put my ring adapter on that then I put my 50mm on that so it is facing backwards. My result was this.

I wanted to experiment with some extension tubes that I got awhile ago, so I used my 50mm macro and a half inch tube (I think). In order to set my aperture I had to put my lens on my camera set my aperture (f/9) , then I had to push the depth of field preview button while I removed the lens from my camera. Then I put the extension tube on my camera, then the lens on the extension tube.

So my capture of the day hasn’t been going very well, its easy to forget about something that is not in your daily routine already, so here is three for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This Panorama was taken in the parking lot of my church. This consisted of 27 photographs, First merged into HDR, then I had 9 photos from that and merged them all together. My camera settings were 1/80sec at F/8.0 ISO 400 and shot at 18mm.

This flower was shot at 1/125 sec at f/13, ISO 400 and with a 50mm macro lens.
I used an off camera flash at about 1/8 power, it was remotely set off with a Catus V2s trigger.

This panorama of the Golden gate bridge was taken at 30seconds at f /10, ISO 100 with an 18-55mm lens set at 55mm. There were four different photos that were stitched together all with the same settings.
