Project 365 Day 6, 2010-06-07

This is one of my Fiances cats, Her name is Cleopatra, but we call her Cleo for short. She decided that she was going to roll around on the concrete and then I decided I wanted to mess around with flash. I had my camera settings at 1/125sec f8 iso 100 and I was using my 50mm macro lens. I was using the pop up flash on my Canon EOS 7d to trigger my canon 580exII in eTTL mode, the flash was shooting through an umbrella.

Project 365 Day 31-35, 2010-06-02 – 2010-06-06

These Water Lilies were shot in HDR. The main exposure was 1/250sec at f5.6 ISO 100 using my Canon 50mm f1.4. The other 2 images were 2 stops below and 2 stops above. I used photomatix pro to process the images.

This is a macro shot of a circuit board (laptop memory) but I didn’t use a macro lens. I used my Canon 70-300mm at f9 iso 100 with a 5 second exposure, and then reversed my Canon 50mm to the front of the 70-300. I extended the 70-300 all the way to 300mm.

This is one of my most favorite shots I have taken. I decided I wanted to chase a really good lightning storm here in Colorado a couple of nights ago.  I decided that I was never going to catch up to the storm so I stopped and set up my tripod. I really wanted to get the lightning and the stars, but then an airplane decided to come into the picture. This photograph was taken at 18mm 51 second f3.5 ISO 2500.

I love taking pictures of hockey, as I am not able to play at this current moment. This is Jeremy taking a shot, it went between #13′s legs and went in glove side all the while he was being tripped. I wish I could have got the puck in the net but I couldn’t zoom out anymore. This shot was taken at 70mm 1/320sec f2.8 ISO 1250. This was the semi finals at Bladium sports center in Denver, CO.

365 – Day 11

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I wanted to take  pictures of something outside today but it is quite chilly. So I decided to take a picture of a rose that was getting ready to be planted outside. I used my 50mm macro at 1/80 sec f4.5 iso 400 The flower is next to a window and I had it back lit by the sun. I liked how the light shined through the pedals on the rose.
