Today I was messing around with some macro photography. The only problem is that I have a 50mm macro, which means I cannot magnify this close with it. So my solution is to get a ring adapter (52mm) so I can mount 2 lenses front glass to front glass. I used my 100-300mm and my 50mm f/1.4. I mounted the longer lens to my camera, then I put my ring adapter on that then I put my 50mm on that so it is facing backwards. My result was this.

In order to set my aperture I had to put my lens on my camera set my aperture (f/9) , then I had to push the depth of field preview button while I removed the lens from my camera. Then I put the extension tube on my camera, then the lens on the extension tube.

Keeping busy with school and work I haven’t had time to post a Capture of the day everyday, and this past week I havent been able to touch it. But Im going to post 7 pictures for the past week.

I shot this At the Denver Zoo, I’m not sure what kind of lizard it is. These were my settings 1/80 sec at f /2.5, ISO 800 with a 50mm macro lens

This is one of the Cheetahs at the Denver Zoo, I shot this at 1/30 sec at f/16, ISO 400 at 75mm. I was practicing my panning an this shot was my favorite.

I shot this at 1/125 sec at f/2.8, ISO 800 at 200mm with my 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens. I shot this through the fence.

I went to the Pike Peak Hill Climb this year, this is one of my favorite shots. I took it at 1/1000 sec at f/9.0, ISO 400 and at 200mm

During the sunrise on Pikes Peak, I used three exposures my correct exposure is 1/100 sec at f/ 11, ISO 100 at 110mm

Here is another sunrise image from Pike’s Peak. I shot it at 1/1250 sec at f/ 4.0, ISO 100 at 200mm

This is a panorama hdr shot at Bicentennial Park. correct exposure was at 1/200 sec at f/10, ISO 400 at 38mm
