Capture of the day – past 4 days

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

It seems to me that the weekends get carried away with homework and busyness. Here are 4 photographs from a trip to the Denver Zoo.

This is one of the leopards at the zoo. In this photograph she just had a hard boiled egg, apparently it is like candy to them.
I shot this at 1/200 sec at f/2.8, ISO 800 at 200mm

Same leopard as before just a different angle.
I shot this at 1/200 sec at f/5.6, ISO 1250 at 385mm

This is one of the Siberian tigers, kinda wants to make you yawn.
1/250 sec at f/5.6, ISO 1250 at 280mm

Here is one of the baby snow leopards (about 1 year old)
I shot this at 1/250 sec at f/1.4, ISO 1000 at 50mm

Capture of the Day – August 5th 2009

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

So This is my first real photo of the day that I actually took (within a day). Yesterday during class there was a really cool sunset, my brother told me to go outside and take a picture of the moon with the clouds like they are in the photo, but my teacher was talking so I couldn’t leave to go take it. After he quit talking we got a break and I ran outside to take this.

Sunset In August
I took 10 images and stitched them all together to make a panorama. I shot it at 1/125 sec at f/5.0 ISO 400 at 50mm, hand held.
